“Sicario: Day of the Soldado”: Close your eyes to harass another, do not ask why “lose”

Compared to the first part, “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” disappoints the fans with the loss of the gloom and violence required.
Launched in 2015, Sicario impresses with the gritty picture of the US-Mexico border. There, the bloody payments took place as a meal, so people are not surprised when the dead bodies are not hanging in front of the house. That’s where the white-black boundary is blurred to gray. After 3 years, Sicario: Day of the Soldado to the cinema but the “quality” is no longer.

Sicario’s timeline: Day of the Soldado takes place before or after the events in the first section are not explicitly mentioned. The film begins as a series of suicide bombings take place inside the United States. After the investigation, the government concluded that the Mexican drug cartels had helped terrorists through illegal immigration.

From here, senior actor Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) is tasked with triggering the fight between criminals across the border. He invites assassin Alejandro Gillick (Benicio del Toro) to participate in kidnapping kid daughter Isabela (Isabela Moner) of boss Reyes. But the task became troubling when the Mexican police were bribed.

Government and crime are brutal

Following on from the first, Sicario: Day of the Soldado continues to bring the audience a bloody world of crime right across the border of the “paradise” country. If in Sicario, they killed and buried dozens of people behind the wall of a house or even beheaded people in public, then in the second, the criminal does not mind killing their accomplices just because … annoying

They even bribed the police force to attack the American teammates themselves. Who you, the enemy can not distinguish clearly in that brutal world. But the US government is not justified. In the first part, Matt Graver reveals that they themselves have used the drug sale to immerse Mexico in addiction. From there, they easily control their little neighbor.
In the second part, the special agents rolled not afraid to kidnap a child and then continue to play the good man with a fake rescue salvo. When they break up, they are ready to kill allies, even children, just to keep the clue. The fake nature of the government and the drug cartels seem to have no difference.

The story is open but superficial

Compared to the first part, the content of Sicario: Day of the Soldado was expanded as it revolved around creating a war between drug cartels. However, this detail is superficially resolved to turn Alejandro’s bland Isabela’s journey to protect. The promises at the beginning of the film quickly dissolve, leaving a long line and lack of emphasis.
Drug gangs and illegal immigrants are a force that the government is unlikely to cope with. But, they became weak and turned into “victims” to Americans spoiled for bullies. Instead of bringing a brain battle in Sicario, scriptwriter Taylor Sheridan turned the second movie into a motion picture, shooting “meat” with a myriad of easy-to-guess episodes.

Sicario 2
The story of Miguel Hernandez (Elijah Rodriguez) in the illegal crossing is not as intimately related to the storyline as police officer Silvio (Maximiliano Hernández) in the first part. This seems to be just one detail to suggest that the third part is in the pre-production phase.
In return, elements of violence appear throughout the film with many scenes of bloody killings. Action scenes, gun battles are staged in a quick and honest way. The tension is still there with many stretches of drama. Old style music keeps the atmosphere of the film in the dark.

In general, Sicario: Day of the Soldado is still as entertaining as other action zmovies, but the heavy, gloomy substance has faded a bit.
